The salsa is a little heavy on the ketchup taste but the food is good Tex Mex and the prices are right. They also have a reasonable beer selection. #fff

I love La Mexicana. I am from El Paso and let's be honest, that is where some of the best MEXICAN food can be found. These place hits pretty dang close. Plus, this is the ONLY place in Denton that won't look at you in disbelief when you ask for bread with your menudo.

I love the tacos, enchiladas, fajitas, and beer. Honestly, they have great food for an awesome price! Hole in the wall atmosphere with superb service. Definitely recommend!

Husbands torta was great. My enchiladas tasted a little off but rice and beans were good. Queso wasn't very good. Service was awesome and food came out quick. In general a great little place, will try something different next time.

Has good A-ok taste. We were there as a family dropping off my sister to start school. Coming in from Houston, she was right, the food is not that great but ok to eat. had good ratings that is why we went. But coming from a Mexican family, this food was not all that great if you are used to great Houston Mexican food. Oh, and chips and salsa is not served until after 11am.

For right now I'm giving 4 out of 5 only because it was my first time and had the carnitas taco combo, Yummy. I'm looking forward to many return visits. Great service as well.

Quiet little place for a quick Mexican restaurant, inexpensive. Been here many times with the wife and friends. Everything is good except for the Green Chicken aka Pollo Verde, I didn't dig it.

The food was good, and I think that the name of the waiter was Joaquin. He gave us an excellent service!!

I honestly ate the best Al Pastor tacos from here. I have so much love for tacos. Eating alone wasnt too bad but it's a really great service here.

This is a Denton Tx local outstanding hole- in- the- wall experience if you love very very authentic Mexican food. Its NOT tex-mex at all. Its owned by a local family been in business for many many years. They make chicken, pork, & beef tamales made daily here by the dozen. If its holidays be sure to order ahead of time. $7-10 per person
